Inside Purgreens: Our Interview with Willoughby Living

Our co-owner, Danielle Monroy, gave a behind-the-scenes look at Purgreens in a recent interview, sharing the story of how we opened in North Willoughby and our mission to bring healthy and nutritious meals to the community and beyond.

What can locals expect from Purgreens?
Purgreens is a place where convenience and quality intersect. We aim to close the void between getting good-for-you food quickly. Purgreens will offer a fixed menu along with our very popular mix and match where you can build your bowl, salad or smoothie with the 50+ made fresh daily vegetables, fruits, grains and proteins. Whether you’re designing your own meal or ordering from our menu, everything’s efficient so you don’t have to sacrifice your health when life’s busy.
Our dinners for four are a great substitute to fast unhealthy takeaway. We will offer three types of dinners that you can feel good about feeding to your family. Our personal family favourite is the spinach & chicken roll ups, rice and a greek salad.
Why did you choose Willoughby as your first location?
We moved from the United States to Australia in 2019 and settled in Willoughby. When you uproot and move across the world, it’s important to build a strong community as soon as possible. Through St. Thomas, where our kids commenced school, and the strong sporting communities in Willoughby and Chatswood, we felt immediately welcomed, and it made such a positive impact on our family. We choose Willoughby to give something back to a community that has given so much to our family.
